Aziz

Using algebraic equations to program the lines, angles, and planes that reflect light, this hand cast bronze table lamp and reflector inspires one to contemplate the nature of light as it travels through space and time. Aziz was 3D modeled in Rhinoceros and Grasshopper. The code generated surfaces were then 3D printed, finished, and moved through the lost wax casting process for a limited production run with Chicago manufacturer West Supply. Aziz was shown in the pavillion of  Rossanna Orlandi as part of Salone del Mobile Milano 2017.
